Board approves more than $4.7 million in employee incentives -

At the July meeting, the school board approved the administration’s recommendation to use more than $4.7 million to fund employee incentives including step increases for employees on the teacher employment schedule; retention bonuses for eligible employees; and health insurance rebates for eligible employees. More than $4 million of it comes from operational cost savings in 2009-10 and a health insurance rebate from Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The board also reviewed the 2010-11 proposed budget and tax rate.
